About UC Davis College Corps
UC Davis is a proud partner of the #CaliforniansForAll College Corps program and invite your organization to be part of the Coalition! Together with local community-based organizations and government agencies, UC Davis College Corps creates meaningful opportunities for students to serve, learn and make a lasting impact throughout the academic year.
Funded by California Volunteers, Office of the Governor, the California College Corps initiative has three goals:
- engage college students in meaningful service to build leadership and civic responsibility;
- promote academic success and economic well being with students from diverse backgrounds; and
- to support the work of community-based organizations in three priorities: K-12 education, climate action and food insecurity.
UC Davis College Corps Fellows serve 450 hours in one or more areas of K-12 Education, Climate Action, Food Security and Economic Opportunity over the course of the academic year. This roughly equates to 15 hours per week.
College Corps Fellows receive:
- Up to $7,000 living stipend (throughout the term of service or up to $700/month) + $3,000 Education Award upon completion of 450 service hours.
- Real-world job experience and skills to add to their resumes.
- Access to training, networking and professional development opportunities.
- Connections with Fellows across the state via a virtual platform and regional events.
- An academic course (1 unit per quarter) designed to support your professional learning throughout the experience.
- A sense of community and accomplishment in working toward the common goals of improving our community.
